All pottery shown here is stoneware – fired to 1300 degrees centigrade – and is therefore dishwasher, microwave and ovenproof.
My pottery derives from a tradition that came to New Zealand as a fusion of the Japanese Mingei (Folk Art) and English craft traditions through Bernard Leach. Both these traditions valued the aesthetic of functional and beautiful domestic objects as part of ordinary everyday life.
Casseroles & ramekins
Casseroles, Rammekins, Eggshell (Magnesia) glaze, gas fired. All pots produced are fired to Stoneware temperatures (1250 – 1310 degrees centigrade). This means they are able to be used for cooking, and are dishwasher and microwave

Large bowl Woodfired (wax decorated) Chun (very light blue) glaze. I make a wide range of individual bowls for a variety of uses including mixing, serving, and storing anything from punch to fruit or salad.
